Ski Program      

This winter, study English in Colorado and ski the Rockies!  

LCI English Center offers 2, 3 and 4 week ski programs.

· Dynamic General English Classes Monday - Friday 9:20 a.m. - 12:05 p.m 
· Fun Skiing Trips- One day a week skiing day trips for world class skiing at Winter Park, Keystone, Eldora and Loveland resorts

Executive English Golf Program

Are you interested in improving your English and practicing your golf game on some of Colorado’s world class golf courses? Then LCI’s Executive English Golf Program is the right choice for you!

Practice your English and your golf game at the same time in an informal setting and expand your network by meeting other members of Denver’s thriving business community on the area’s top ranked golf courses.

LCI English Center is offering Golf sessions as an add-on program to its Executive English Classes. Add golf to either LCI’s Executive English Full Immersion Program or our Executive English Group-Private Combo Program and play golf at various top Colorado golf courses one day a week.

Explore and Learn Program

LCI's Explore and Learn Program gives you the opportunity to get to know the Mile High City of Denver and practice your English at the same time.  You will be accompanied by an LCI instructor to visit exciting points of interest in Denver.  You will learn more about the American culture and one of the most popular cities in the U.S. while practicing your English in real life situations as you visit and explore Denver.  There are a variety of places you may chose to visit through this program such as downtown Denver, the Colorado State Capitol building, sporting venues (Coors Field, Mile High Stadium, Pepsi Center), shopping areas, museums, the Denver Zoo and many other fun places.  This program is a fun and educational way to explore Denver and gain hands on experience practicing your English.  This program is available on weekdays and on the weekends.

LCI English Summer Camp - for youths ages 12-18

Enjoy a true camping adventure in beautiful Pike National Forest located in the Rocky Mountains of Colorado, approximately 90 miles from Denver.  Campers will learn English and enjoy traditional camp activities such as water sports, hiking, horseback riding, archery and many others!  This program is designed for groups of 5 or more individuals, ages 12 -18. 



Program includes:

• 15 hours of English instruction per week
• Accommodations in cabins (bunk-house style with bunk beds)
• All meals
• Daily & evening activities
• Overnight campout(s) in the forest
• Certificate of completion

International students will be integrated with American campers providing even more opportunity to practice their English.  English Classes will be interactive and fun (including games) to accommodate the camp setting and a variety of English levels.  These lessons will focus on English vocabulary and fluency development.

Chaperones:


One free adult English speaking chaperone for each group of 5-10 campers.  This adult will need to assist with camp activities and translating when necessary.  The chaperone’s lodging, meals and camp fees will be waived.  Chaperones are responsible for a $76 fee to complete a background check.

LCI English Center has teamed up with YMCA Camp Shady Brook to offer this unique English Camp.  YMCA Camp Shady Brook has been offering fun and unique camp experiences to youths for over 30 years.

You can now study in the convenience of your home or office with LCI’s webcam classes.

University Admissions Statement of Purpose Essay Coaching

A great university admissions Statement of Purpose essay is much more than correct grammar and the right punctuation. It is your opportunity to show the university of your choice that you are not just a set of test results and a school transcript.  The essay presents what is really interesting and important about you. It is your chance to stand out from all the other applicants—an opportunity to make the university want you.  At LCI, we work hand-in-hand with you to guide you through the admissions essay process. 

We have successfully coached high school, college and graduate students through the admission’s essay process.  We don’t write your essay. With our experience and knowledge of which universities you want to target, we help you create the essay that will do the best for you. We don’t assign you to a class; we work with you individually to develop your essay.

University Placement Services

LCI offers University Placement Services.  LCI will serve as a liaison between the student and the school that they’re applying to during the conditional admission process to better enable the student to gain admission. 
LCI's University Placement Services include:

• Review of student's transcripts, including student's educational history, applicable test scores and grade point average
• Determination of which school for which the student is qualified
• Correspondence with the school officials
• Monitoring of application status and conditional admission letter; and
• Issuance of TOEFL waiver documents to the university upon the student's completion of LCI Level 5.

Self Study Program

Program Overview

LCI’s Self Study Program is designed for advanced international students with a strong foundation in English, who possess the self discipline and motivation to successfully adhere to the course’s study requirements.  This program is ideal for students who are looking for a short term bridge curriculum who have completed one academic program and are awaiting the start of the next.  This program consists of 18 hours a week of study, thus students who qualify for this program will be eligible for F-I student visa status.  Qualified students will select one of three core classes for their self-study program. 

Core Class Options

• TOEFL/IELTS
• GRE/GMAT
• General English

Students wishing to take the self-study I-20 program must be approved by the LCI Education Director before being admitted into the program. 

Student Approval Requirements

Before being accepted into the Self-Study Program, each student must meet with a member of the Education Department and agree to:

• Pick a core class and explain why the core class makes sense for the student
• Attend the student’s core class and structured study hall at the predetermined times
• Identify and explain the student’s long-term goal for the program
• Meet with the instructor weekly to set weekly goals
• Fill out and submit to the Education Director weekly progress reports stating what the student accomplished during the week; and
• Follow all additional terms and conditions required by the Education Director at his discretion.

English Instruction for Children

Parents who are not native English speakers sometimes struggle when helping their children with homework. We provide private tutoring services to help you “bridge the gap” between the children of native speakers and children with ESL parents. Whether it is basic English, or advanced writing or math, we can pair your child with an experienced professional trained to meet your child’s educational needs. Our services include general tutoring, essay writing assistance, and ACT – SAT preparation courses.

General Tutoring - We offer tutoring in all subjects- English, math, or science. We will work with your child based on their own specific individual needs. We offer one-on-one customized services to help improve your child’s performance in the subject(s) needed.

Essay Writing Assistance - A great essay is much more than correct grammar and the right punctuation. It showcases your child’s ability to effectively communicate their point in an interesting and succinct manner. Our educational experts work hand-in-hand with your child to guide them through effective essay writing. We also offer university admissions essay writing training for children moving from high school to college.

ACT and SAT Preparation - Your child’s ACT or SAT score is one of the most important criteria in gaining admission to their university of choice. LCI offers test preparation services to help your child prepare for and maximize their performance on these standardized tests.

American Pop Culture

In this class we study American ideas and values by looking at what is happening in American popular culture today and how it came to be that way.

You will examine advertising, movies, music and more as we explore the culture around us. This course uses the things you hear and see every day to help you understand the American experience while also meeting your education requirements.

English for Au Pairs

The au pair experience is about learning and our English for Au Pairs program speeds up that learning process while giving you the education hours required by your agency at a price that meets your budget.

In English for Au Pairs, you will develop your understanding of the USA by improving your communication skills. We cover grammar, listening and speaking skills while we investigate the new world in which you are now living. The class gives you a chance to solve cultural communication problems and improve your English as you do it.
